Eagles A built their success around Nick Welsh, Angus Curtis, Sam Curren, Ryan Murray, Keith Jahuri and Kundai Matigimu.
Eagles’ win also showed the dominance of Harare province in the sport.
Moses Matare one of the selectors at the tournament echoed the same sentiments.
“It is difficult to select other guys from outside Harare because they are proving to be incompetent
“Most of the players from outside Harare seem to lack game time and it’s affecting them a lot,” said Matare.
Eagles produced a disciplined performance with both bat and ball that saw them winning all their matches.
Eagles beat Midwest Rhinos on Monday and a lifeless Southern Rocks side by nine wickets on Wednesday.
Mountaineers progressed to the finals after beating Eagles’ B side by 10 wickets.
But Mountaineers were no match for Eagles A in the final as they lost by 74 runs.
