LUKE Masomere is confident that he will conclude a new contract with How Mine FC soon. His present deal expires at the end of this month. In an interview from Harare last night, Masomere said he was confident that his future was secure despite inquiries from a number of clubs.

“The club has shown a lot of interest in retaining my services. It has been a fruitful working relationship with them. My contract expires at the end of the month and there is nothing to suggest I would be leaving or that my services would not be required,” said Masomere.

The much travelled coach said he was in Harare recruiting players with the club’s blessings.

“That is an indication that I am part of their plans. I would not be recruiting players if I was not part of them.

“I am employed by How Mine and I am happy with the way we have gone with our business so far,” said the former DeMbare coach.

Masomere replaced Philani Ncube mid way through the season after a burn out from an early start to the season appeared to hit the Matabeleland South gold miners. When he took over he declared that he was building a team for the future.

“My position has not changed, I want a strong team for next season that will challenge for honours,” he said.

He has been linked to a move to either Dynamos or Caps United but for now Masomere believes he has unfinished work at How Mine.
