Derby 2 400m at Borrowdale Racecourse tomorrow
The horse has been in blistering form since coming to Zimbabwe this year and is easily the pick of the crop from the field of eight runners that have accepted to go to the starting stalls for the feature race.
First Banking Corporation are sponsoring the race which has R122 500 in stakes and is open to all the top three-year olds.

It’s the third leg of the Triple Crown and Lisa Harris’ Mina Salaam will have jockey Gavin Lerena holding the straps.
The horse boasts an impressive record of nine runs, which are laced with five wins and three places, making it a hot favourite for the FBC Derby.

Mina Salaam is undefeated in its last three races and beat Vincent on its last sprint which was over 2000m.
It looks like Vincent, at number one, could attempt to give Mina Salaam a good run for her money but the Kitalpha gelding has come second best to the filly before.

At number seven on the card is Hill Billy, the gelding from the Noleen Peech yard, who could at best get a place.
The Kahir Almaydan gelding, Boost My Ego, trained by Harris, is number six on the card and has Gareth Willams on the saddle.

Kirk Swanson saddles Storm in May (3) but it’s unlikely there will be any rains on tomorrow as Railton Peters guides the equine athlete.
At number four is What A Boy and Harris’ stable jockey Dewi Williams has opted to take this one with South African rider Tshwaro Appie taking Dianthus (3) as Sea Battle comes at number two on the card.

Sherman Brown holds the straps for Swanson’s horse.
The penultimate race on the day is the Sales Stakes over 1000m which is open to two-year-olds and is the first leg of the Juvenile Series with six horses getting on the card.
The favourite for the race is Control Freak who is making her third race after winning the first two. In her last second race she beat Annaburroo and the two square up again but Control Freak appears set for a first place once again.
