MAMELODI SUNDOWNS coach Pitso Mosimane says he now expects Zimbabwe star Khama Billiat to leave the outgoing African champions at the end of the season.

Mosimane said while he wants Billiat to stay, he believes the Warriors talisman will join another side, maybe even in Europe.

It also emerged that Billiat is being paid far less than what other star players in South Africa are getting and that has created a rift between him and his employers.

The Sunday Times revealed Billiat is getting a net salary of R90 000 a month and Sundowns are offering a net salary of R135 000.

“Khama is in a different space now, We’ve offered him a new deal but he’s not taking it. I think he is leaving,’’ he said.

“Okay, he is not saying it but you’ve got to accept it.

“I haven’t given up on Khama and he knows it. But you see I can’t say to him don’t go to Europe.

“If he goes to Europe, he must go because that will be good for him. If he is going to get more money than we can offer, he must go.”

Meanwhile, Warriors skipper Knowledge Musona was on target as he helped his Belgian side KV Oostende beat Lokeren 3-0 at the weekend.

Musona scored his team’s second goal.

They are now 13th on the table which is led by Marvelous Nakamba’s Club Brugge.
