Award-winning contemporary musician, Jah Prayzah is set to cement his dominance on the local music scene with the release of Jerusarema DVD on Saturday.

The artiste who is fresh from yet another successful show in Bulawayo last weekend will launch the DVD at the Ster Kinekor movie house, Eastgate in Harare first before taking it to other cities.

The DVD comes after the launch of his sixth studio album Jerusarema which was launched in May this year. The success of the album which contains hits Eriza and Chinamira has made Jah Prayzah one of the most sought after artistes in the country.

Most of his shows this year have been sold out, something which has seen him stage more shows outside the capital.

“There’re six tracks on the DVD, five from Jerusarema and one bonus video from a new track,” said Jah Prayzah’s manager, Keen Mushapaidze.

“All videos were shot, produced and directed by Slimaz Pro and all scripts were done by Jah.”

Mushapaidze said they were working on the distribution of the DVD with the videos expected to be uploaded online.

“We hope to send our videos to international music channels as well as have them aired on pay per-view channels,” Mushapaidze said.

Jah Prayzah already has videos off his previous album Kumbumura Mhute enjoy a fair share of airplay on DStv’s Southern Africa channel, Zambezi Magic.

On their plans for 2016, Mushapaidze said: “We’re planning to travel a lot in a bid to reach all our fans locally and internationally. We want to break into completely new markets as we push for international success.”

He said they hope to brand their shows differently and focus more on big concerts rather than performing at numerous small events.

“2016 is definitely going to be a year filled with exciting twists and we promise all our fans more fun than they had this year.” — Online/Showbiz Reporter.
