FORMER Warriors striker Nyasha Mushekwi is back at training with Mamelodi Sundowns after a lengthy period due to injury. The sharp shooter spent a season on loan to KV Oostende of Belgium.

The marksman has been struggling with a knee injury he sustained while playing for the European team last season.

“The Zimbabwean striker is back now and is training with the team. We’re quite happy about his input at training so far. His fitness is still not up to standard compared to the other players and that doesn’t bother us at all because we know that he’s been on the sidelines for quite some time.

“He’s shown us some brilliant touches and his top qualities as a striker,” said Sundowns communications co-ordinator Thulani Thuswa.

He said he could not say which Zimbabwean players will be put on transfer in January as they have not decided yet who goes and comes.

Thuswa said the former Caps United hitman was still in the team’s plans.

Another former Warriors defender Method Mwanjali is still training alone since he came back to the Brazilians at the beginning of the season after spending a year with Mpumalanga Black Aces which is now a home to Energy Murambadoro, Tinashe Nengomasha and Tendai Ndoro.

However, two other Zimbabweans Esrom Nyandoro and Kudakwashe Mahachi are on the sidelines at the moment.

Two Warriors players Khama Billiat and Cuthbert Malajila are enjoying game time at the team.

Ndoro has been banging goals of late for the Mpumalanga based Absa Premiership side.
