FORMER Warriors striker Nyasha Mushekwi will be back on South African soil after a season’s stint with Belgian topflight club KV Oosternder. The gangling Zimbabwean striker was loaned last season to the Belgians after struggling to command a regular place at the star-studded Mamelodi Sundowns team. Mushekwi who is believed to be enjoying his football in KV Oosternder will be coming home as soon as his loan deal elapses in June.

Sundowns communications coordinator Thulani Thuswa told Chronicle Sport: “In each new season we bring all our loaned players from various clubs for the coach to assess them again, if ever they impress then we strike another deal with the player but those who are not in the team’s plans they will be loaned or sold outright.”

Thuswa said Mushekwi will be joining the Brazilians in the beginning of the new season until then there is not much to discuss about the player’s future except if KV Oosternder still want the player services for their upcoming season.
Mushekwi is still contracted to Sundowns until June 2015.

“The Zimbabwean is a good player who has been in the country for some time and is eligible to apply for a citizenship which will be an advantage for him in the team as we have quite a few foreigners,” said Thuswa.

Mushekwi is playing alongside former Orlando Pirates midfielder Andile Jali in the Belgian team.
Thuswa added that former Warriors defender Method Mwanjali who has one year left with the team will also be rejoining the Brazilians after his loan deal with Mpumalanga Black Aces comes to an end in June.

Another Zimbabwean winger coming to Sundowns is skillful winger Kudakwashe Mahachi who is loaned to Highlanders until June.
