THE Bulawayo City Pool will play host to the National Senior Swimming Championships starting tomorrow and ending on Monday.
Matabeleland, Mashonaland, Midlands and Manicaland provinces are participating in the championships.Bulawayo City Pool got a major facelift last year before playing host to the Africa Union Sports Council Region 5 Under-20 Youth Games.
The pool, which was refurbished ahead of the December event, now meets international standards and can now host major international events.
Members of the public are yet to access the pool.
Joseph Gliwinski, the Matabeleland Swimming Board spokesperson, yesterday confirmed that the swimming championships will be held at the City Pool.
“The gala according to the calendar is expected to be held at the City Pool on Thursday and we are expecting provincial teams in the city by Thursday afternoon,” said Gliwinski.
