No increase in gate charges

CHICKEN Inn have maintained the standard Premier Soccer League gate charges for their Caf Champions League preliminary match against South African ABSA Premiership log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns at Barbourfields Stadium tomorrow. In a move meant to entice fans to come in their numbers, the Gamecocks have decided that soccer fans will pay the $3 they are accustomed to for the rest of the ground, $5 for the wings and $10 for the VIP section.

“People expected us to increase the gate charges since it’s a big game, but we resolved to maintain the fee to get soccer loving fans attending in their numbers. It is our hope that the people of Bulawayo and other parts of the country will come and rally behind our boys because we’re representing the country. Gates will open at 12 noon,” said Chicken Inn spokesman Tavengwa Hara.

With gate charges kept low, a full house is expected at Barbourfields as football-mad fans will want to witness arguably Chicken Inn’s biggest match of the 2016 season.

Sundowns’ stars that have illuminated the South African league will also be a draw card.
