BULAWAYO rugby enthusiasts are in for a treat tomorrow when defending champions Old Hararians and title favourites Old Georgians take on Old Miltonians and Busters respectively at Hartsfield Grounds.Old Miltonians, the only club that beat Old Georgians last season and the Bulawayo club has declared war on the defending champions.

“Playing against champions is a tough game for anyone but I must say pressure is more on them than on us. They have everything to lose than us. What we just have to do is to avoid making silly mistakes and if we absorb pressure for the better part of the first half then we will be home and dry.

“It was through teamwork that we managed to beat them last season and as a club we all strive on covering for each other. Even though we are lowly placed, we promise to give them a good run for their money,” said Theo Weale, Old Miltonians’ manager.

Old Miltonians will pin their hopes on Victor Chiwara, Velile Dube, Nelson Madida, Jason McKay, Francis Nakamu, George Savada and Gweru-based Tawanda Mhora with young Andrea Banda linking up with skipper Michael Zvakavapano against Old Hararians.

Meanwhile, Busters who are fighting for a home semi-final take on last season’s losing finalists Old Georgians in the game of the week with coach Rueben Kumpasa confident of handing the Harare side defeat.

Sanele ‘Smiley’ Sibanda, Royal Mwale, national team duo of Schalk Ferreira and Jan Ferreira, speed-star Lloyd Machanjaire, Cleopas Makotose, national Sevens’ Lucky Sithole, Brian Dube and Tapiwa ‘Endo’ Mangezi are some of the players that Busters will look up to for victory.
There is also Ozzie Lynx and Kudzi Mutsekenyedzi who are expected to provide experience for the Bulawayo club.
