DYNAMOS coach Callisto Pasuwa has described their semi-final win against How Mine in the One Wallet Cup on Sunday as a morale booster to his team.
“This is a morale booster for the team and it’s a plus for us. It also shows that we have a pool of good players in the team. I missed (Murape) Murape and Roderick (Mutumwa) because they were not match fit after missing training following the job action and then their suspension. The two will be back soon,” said Pasuwa (pictured).

His sentiments were echoed by Dynamos secretary-general Webster Cikengezha who expressed hope that the two would feature in the TM Pick ’n Pay Challenge Cup set for the National Sports Stadium on Saturday against Highlanders.

“I hope the two will play in the cup on Saturday. They were not fit for this game and probably for the mid-week fixture as well but we need them for the Challenge Cup because there is a lot of money at stake,” said Chikengezha, who was also excited by his team weekend performance.
Pasuwa however, was wary of Triangle in the One Wallet Cup  final.

“A cup game against Triangle is very tough. They are very tricky customers who can pull a result out of nothing,” said the coach who also felt let down by the officiating at Mandava on Sunday.

“I feel the referee was not protecting the Dynamos players including our goalkeeper,” he said.
Bulawayo-based referee Philani Ncube had a largely good show despite booking Ronald Chitiyo for diving after the player appeared to have been  clearly brought down outside the box. Chitiyo had waltzed his way past the Chikurupati defence.

Once again Tafadzwa “Fire” Rusike played a blinder in a game he made Morris Kadzola a highway. Chitiyo was a marvel to watch in midfield and was well complemented by Devon Chafa who never set a foot wrong.

It was also a match that Washington Pakamisa got it right when he scored his second goal in as many games. He scored the winner against Triangle last week.
Young Blessing Moyo also proved that the sky is the limit with his 13th minute strike that can contest for goal of the year. Artwell Mukandi was composed in goal and kept Dynamos in the competition with fine saves

Luke Masomere, the self-proclaimed Doctor of Football was happy with his charges’ performance but should be worried with some of his players. Ephraim Mazarura was not at his best and the captain Gilbert Banda made a schoolboy blunder in the 75th minute when he nearly gifted Anesu Gondo with a goal but the forward surprisingly skied his effort with a yawning goal at his mercy.

Kudakwashe Musharu could have been eluded by his scoring touch but he was a menace each time he was in possession.
Masomere believes in the team he took over last week. “I am really pleased with my team despite the loss. It is a big advantage to us. We lost today after playing so well. I now have direction and I hope to win my next league game,” he said.

He also had the backing of his executive which was impressed with the team’s performance.
