A VICTORIA Falls-based Christ Embassy pastor, Dani Chuma was yesterday fined $300 for using a fake driver’s licence.  Chuma, 41, of Mkhosana Township was convicted of using a forged document in terms of Section 56 (2) (c) of the (Road traffic) Act Chapter 13:11. A dejected Chuma admitted to using the fake driver’s licence for a period of three years when she appeared before Victoria Falls resident magistrate Sharon Rosemani.
She was fined $300 or six months in prison in default of payment.

Prosecutor Takunda Ndovorwi narrated how on February 4 around 8.30AM police mounted a road block at a turn-off along the Victoria Falls- Bulawayo Road.
Chuma, who was driving a Ford Bantam pick-up truck was stopped by police who asked her to produce her licence.

She then produced a fake licence intending to deceive a traffic officer leading to her arrest.  The driver’s licence was taken to Victoria Falls Vehicle Inspection Department depot where it was confirmed to be fake by the officer-in-charge, Albert Chinaka.
