LEGENDARY Zimbabwe national team captain Peter Ndlovu’s family passports were returned to his wife yesterday.

Ndlovu lost the documents and an undisclosed sum of money outside a city departmental store on December 31. The passports were picked up at Nkulumane Shopping Complex by an unidentified man who surrendered them Nkulumane Police Station on Wednesday.

Ndlovu’s wife Pinky Nyoni was called to identify the travelling documents.

One of the officers at Nkulumane confirmed that Ndlovu’s wife had positively identified the three passports yesterday morning.

“Nsukuzonke’s wife Pinky Nyoni came to identify and collect the three passports in the morning,” said the police officer who refused to be identified.

The officer said the passports were for Ndlovu’s wife and two children and were dropped at the station on Wednesday afternoon.

“The documents were surrendered at the station on Wednesday but we had challenges in locating the Ndlovu family,” said the police officer.

Ndlovu brought his plight to the public through a Facebook post.

The former Highlanders and Coventry tearaway striker said the thief was someone known to him who stays in Entumbane and operates outside the leading supermarket in the Central Business District.
