PRINT the Pounds and Tallie Two are set to resume their rivalry tomorrow when they clash in the Bloodstock SA Zimbabwe Oaks listed race at Borrowdale Race Course in Harare.

This race is set for 3:30PM.

The two horses will be meeting for the umpteenth time this year in another battle to determine the fastest three-year-old. They are set to compete over 2000m. Print the Pounds has had the better of Tallie Two in previous races.

Although this has being largely touted as a two-horse race, there are other stayers capable of causing an upset in this nine-horse field.

Chestnut Girl ridden by Randal Simons and trained by the Amy Bronkhorst stable is one such horse to watch with a decent rating of 68 going into the Bloodstock race.

If you add the impressive Second Light, which is rated 64, into the equation and Suave Singer rated 60, horse racing fans should be in for a treat.

Other horses expected to make an impact in this race are Fig Jam, Sema Sky, Latin Queen and Argodaba.

This is a competition for three-year-old fillies and all the nine accepted runners will stride down the turf carrying an equal weight of 58kg.

The winner will pocket $6,480 leaving the other three placed runners to receive $2,160, $1,350 and $810 respectively.

It is, however, a cause for concern that there are only two locally-bred horses in this race.

This is the last race ahead of the premier OK Grand Challenge at the same venue on June 6.
