A 23-YEAR-OLD prostitute yesterday told a Bulawayo magistrate how she, along with five male conspirators, robbed her client before leaving him half-naked.Thubelihle Ncube, Mthokozisi Ncube, 24, Sandile Ndlovu, 20, Munyaradzi Kota, 18, Spencer Moyo, 22 and Tafadzwa Mudzingwa, 22, appeared in court facing robbery charges after they took Admire Moyo’s clothes, cash and two cellphones.

Ncube narrated to Western Commonage magistrate Temba Chimiso how they hatched a plan to rob Moyo after they saw him flashing money.

“I met Admire at Club Royal and he was buying everyone beers. When he asked for my services for the night, I told my friends to follow behind us as we left the night club. Admire hired a taxi and my friends followed in another car,” said Ncube.

The court heard how on their way to her home in Cowdray Park, Ncube told the driver she wanted to relieve herself and she asked Moyo to escort him.

The court also heard that when Moyo got out of the car, the other five pounced on him and took all his clothes, leaving him in his boxer shorts.

Prosecuting, Kingston Mkanganwi told the court that the gang robbed Moyo at D-Square Bus Stop in Njube before speeding off in a get-away car.

“On June 30 at around 3AM Admire Moyo and Thubelihle Ncube boarded a taxi intending to go to Cowdray Park. When they reached D-Square Bus Stop in Njube, the six accused took Moyo’s Nokia X2 and Blackberry cellphones, his khaki trousers, navy-blue T-shirt, a pair of brown shoes, a jacket, $200 and R400. The total value of goods robbed is $395 and R400,” said Mkanganwi.

The prosecutor said Moyo reported the incident to the police, leading to the gang’s arrest and only the jacket, worth $15 was recovered.
Ncube pleaded guilty to the charges and will be sentenced today whilst the others will be tried on July 29 after denying the charges.
