THE Castle Lager Premier Soccer League will start accepting clubs’ player registration forms for the 2015 season on February 13.
Early submission is meant to give the league time to verify documents submitted by clubs so that if there are any irregularities, they are attended to before the end of the March transfer deadline.

The development will also enable the league to process player licences before the season kicks off.

“We want to have a smooth sailing programme and that’s why we’re starting the registration process as early as February 13. This affords clubs and players an opportunity to sort out paperwork and resolve things in the event that there’s additional information required before the start of the season,” said Kennedy Ndebele, PSL chief executive officer.

Most clubs have been busy on the transfer market planning for the season.

Zimbabwe’s representatives in the Orange Caf Confederation Cup, FC Platinum, are almost done with their squad because of their participation in the continental showpiece.

The miners retained the core of their 2014 squad with additions being Emmanuel Mandiranga who spent last season on loan at How Mine from Aces Academy and midfielder Wellington Kamudyariwa who crossed the floor from Shabanie Mine.

FC Platinum lost Qadr Amin who has since joined champions Dynamos even though he had been registered for the continental competition. His departure gives the platinum miners time to hunt for his replacement.

League champions Dynamos have seen their camp invaded, losing Devon Chafa and Tawanda Muparati to How Mine FC while Thomas Magorimbo has left to join ZPC Kariba. The Harare giants are working round the clock to secure the services of their strikers Roderick Mutuma and Simba Sithole who they are hoping to conclude deals with soon alongside Russell Madamombe.

Just like Dynamos, Highlanders, who lost their last season’s joint top striker Charles Sibanda to How Mine who have suddenly become a destination of choice for seasoned players, are hunting for players to bolster their squad.

Former Njube Sundowns and Harare City holding midfielder Tendai “Tendo” Ngulube, the trio of Edmore “Digo” Muzanenhamo, Xolisani Moyo and Warren Dube who have been released by How Mine, Julius Dauda and Lindelani “Vice” Ncube are some of the notables hoping to clinch deals at Bosso.

How Mine, already carrying the pre-season favourite tag because of their activity on the transfer market after capturing Chafa, Muparati, Tapuwa Kumbuyani from Caps United, Sibanda, Limited Chikafa from ZPC Kariba and ex-Bosso goalkeeper Munyaradzi Diya and Benjamin Marere, are also done with their signings.

They also brought on board Moses Gutu from Buffaloes, Fungai Chirinda formerly with Shabanie Mine and Nefitara Ndale from Masvingo United.

According to sources at How Mine, all their new players signed two-year deals.

Chicken Inn have wrapped up their pre-season signings with ex-FC Platinum striker Mitchell Katsvairo, Edmore Chirambadare, the Zifa Southern Region Division One Soccer League’s top goalscorer with 14 goals, and David Temwanjira who they got from Chiredzi, coming on board.

The Gamecocks have also promoted six juniors — Amos Ncube, Musa Phiri, Godknows Mnkandla, striker Tambudzai Ngulube, goalkeeper Wandile Ndlovu and Thulani Nxusani from their developmental side who they are blending with veterans in their side.

Hwange have said they are only promoting their juniors and will maintain the bulk of their players.
