These cheap piecemeal measures with evident failure written all over them will surely not help matters. What the hell is Cosmas Zulu doing? Is he not the same Cosmas who got Sizane Fruits and Vegetables relegated? So he is surely coming on a rescue mission? What value did he add post the (Kelvin) Kaindu era? Amin (Soma-Phir) head/assistant coach? Really now! Where has he coached a PSL club before? Yes, experiments were done and it backfired and one would have expected a better remedial solution. Mabaleka is doing well with the Division Two team. Why disturb a developmental project? You bring (Ndumiso) Gumede as CEO of a club as big as Highlanders and expect the club to be administratively modelled along 21st century style.

Noel Munzabwa: I think if people don’t know how to run a great institution like Highlanders, they should do the honourable thing and resign. This institution is not some mere tuck shop in Emganwini run by a meagre vendor; it’s a national pride because of its player products. Maybe they are being paid to destroy the 90-year reputation.

Isaac Mbedzi: Those really concerned about Highlanders should not be diverted by the always deliberate and ever comic appointments by the Peter Dube-led executive. It’s their style of management. They hire people they know will just talk or clown to make fools of themselves as they the executive and board remain quiet and safe in positions. Bosso Old People’s Home now!

Mlondolozi Ndlovu: I’m very much disappointed at the recent firing of Bongani Mafu as Bosso coach. It won’t solve the root of our problems. The habit of hiring and firing coaches will not solve the crisis at Highlanders FC. The newly appointed technical team won’t solve our problems, unless we go to basics by reviving our junior policy. We can’t watch as the great institution crumbles, Gumede, Dube and the entire authorities must invest in juniors as soon as possible, otherwise we will soon be in Division One if we are not careful.
