WARRIORS’ casualty department increased with Highlanders’ midfielder Peter “Rio” Moyo picking up an ankle injury during his club’s 3-1 win over Buffaloes in Mutare on Sunday.
Zimbabwe takes on Tanzania in Harare on Sunday in a must win encounter so that they progress to the next stage of the Afcon preliminary round qualifiers.
Kaindu revealed that Moyo could not walk alone after the match but they let the player go for national team camp where he will be assessed.

“Rio got a bad injury and after the game it was still bad that he didn’t walk on his own. We released him so that he goes to the national team where they are going to assess him but its bad,” said Kaindu.

Other Warriors players that have pulled out due to injuries are captain Carlington Nyadombo, Czech-based wingback Costa Nhamoinesu and Matthew Rusike of Kaizer Chiefs.
