South Africa-based designer – Thembani Mubochwa is billed to grace the Intwasa Fashion Show to be held at the Amtec building in Bulawayo on September 26.Mubochwa will be joined by designers Melusi Nhengu, Andre Chadyiwa, Louisa Conrad, Kuda Matiza, Nompumelelo Samabgwa, Rutendo Maguze and Brenda Vongai.

Organiser of the show, Gilmore Tee Moyo, said this year’s fashion show would be bigger and better as it has internationally acclaimed designers.
“The designers this year have been drawn from different cities and the region so as to have a diverse range of designs,” Gilmore Tee said.
One of the country’s leading retail outlets, Edgars Stores, which has partnered Intwasa Arts Festival koBulawayo, will select three designers whom they will train.

Tickets to the fashion show have been pegged at $10.

Thembani Mubochwa

Fresh from winning a Vodacom Durban July 2015 award, Thembani Mubochwa is a Zimbabwean fashion brand that offers classic, unique and trendy clothing with a refinement in the cut and outstanding workmanship. He has showcased at previous Zimbabwe Fashion Weeks.

Melusi Nhengu
Melusi Nhengu introduced his label at the Zimbabwe Fashion Week 2012 and went on to dress socialites such as Pokello Nare and Mbo Mahocs among others. He has dressed Miss Zimbabwe contestants and other national pageants.

Andre Chadyiwa
Bulawayo-based fashion designer Andre Chadyiwa of the fashion label Andre is inspired by fashion from Paris, and the label caters for both local and international fashion lovers.

Louisa Conrad
Victoria Falls-based Mosi Designs by  Louisa Conrad is inspired by the Chitenge                                                                                         Material and was established in 2010. Mosi will be showcasing a contemporary collection with Chitenge highlights.

Kuda Matiza
Johannesburg-based House of Hohwa by Kuda Matiza has showcased at major fashion events in Johannesburg and Cape Town under the Azzura Collective.

Nompumelelo Samabgwa
Chinhoyi University graduate, Nompumelelo Samabgwa will be showcasing her Dark and Bold collection under her label Noe Es. The award-winning label has showcased at Clothing Indaba, Harare International Festival of the Arts and Zimbabwe Fashion Week, among many other fashion platforms.

Mma Hogany
South Africa-based, Mma Hogany Clothing,  a label under the Azzura Collective will be showcasing their female, Afro-Chic collection. Mma Hogany has managed to display their works at platforms such as Mercedes Benz Africa Fashion International, through dressing some outstanding personalities.

Rutendo Maguze
Rutendo Maguze is a pharmacy student at the University of Zimbabwe who has a strong passion for fashion. She has showcased at the Zimbabwe Fashion Week under their Young Designers Programme. She will be showcasing an all-female range.

Leandri Willemse
Leandri Willemse, a South Africa-based label will be showcasing their feminine collection under Azzura Collective.

Brenda Vongai
VonDesigns, a label by Brenda Vongai who has displayed her works at public platforms such as the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, will be showcasing her Avant Garde collection.
