THOSE who forgot to spoil their mothers on Mother’s Day have a second chance to do so as songstress Sandra Ndebele-Sibindi will host a belated dinner at Rainbow Hotel in Bulawayo on Saturday.

The three-course dinner that costs $25 per individual will feature performances from Ndebele-Sibindi, comedians Babongile Sikhonjwa and Clive Chigubu with guests expected to adhere to the black and red dress code.

Tickets are available at Ndebele-Sibindi’s shop — Sandy’s Boutique in Bulawayo and the Rainbow Hotel reception.

“Those interested in attending the dinner may want to buy their tickets early as they’re selling like hotcakes. Only 30 are left,” Ndebele-Sibindi said.

She said she decided to host the belated Mother’s Day dinner after realising that some people had not spoilt their mothers when the rest of the world did so on May 10.

“There’re some people who didn’t spoil their mothers this year for various reasons. The dinner is a perfect opportunity to make it up to them,” she said.

The musician said she would also be spoiling her mother on Saturday and has already bought her ticket.

“Children should spoil their mothers because they’re special people in our lives. No one knows how much time we’ve left with them, so people should utilise the little time they can spend with their mothers,” said Ndebele-Sibindi.

Those who no longer have mothers have not been left out as they can attend the event with special women they regard as their mothers.

“There’re women who’ve taken up the role of mothers for those who’ve lost their mothers through death or whose mothers are not with them. No one should be left out in appreciating these special people,” said Ndebele-Sibindi.
