CHRONICLE general manager Marks Shayamano was crowned Nga Football Club Player of the Year at their annual awards ceremony at a Bulawayo hotel on Sunday.

Shayamano was selected for his outstanding perfomances and discipline this past season.

The general manager said he is honoured to have been awarded the award.

“I am very honoured to win the award, I most certainly could have not done it without my teammates,” he said.

Eight other players won individual awards at the event namely Saymore Mpofu who was crowned as the Most Disciplined Player of the year, Pedzisayi Ngombengombe as the most improved player, Charles Chunda as the best administrator, Silas Sibanda (coaching), Shadreck Chikamhi as the best supporter, David Chinamo as the most consistent player, Abraham Mutswengwende as the most loyal player and Bhekimpilo Mahlangu as the players’ player of the year.

At the event was Daniel Bingadadi the guest of honour and Chunda the vice chairman of Bulawayo Amateur Football Association who also scooped the best administrator of the year award.

Bingadadi praised Nga for being a very organised amateur club.

“I am very pleased to see a team that is well organised and disciplined as Nga FC, it reflects positively on the Bafa League as a whole,” he said.
