SIMBA SITHOLE has received the all-clear to make his debut for Highlanders FC if he is selected for the TM P’ n Pay Challenge tomorrow after getting his licence on Wednesday. Sithole, who shone like a beacon in the reserve team’s 2-0 win over Tsholotsho FC, was released by Ajax Cape Town recently after enduring an injury hit six-month stint in South Africa.

Highlanders’ chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede confirmed that Sithole could resume his bid to resuscitate his career.
“We have received his licence from the PSL. He is now available for selection and it will be up to the coaches to decide when to play him,” said Gumede.

Sithole could be the saviour to Bosso whose championship dream is fading with each outing with some uninspiring performances.
Njabulo Ncube, acquired to add firepower to the club recently, has turned out to be a flop with no punch at all in attack. He has lost his pace and desire to trouble defenders and is often penalised for ‘wrestling’ opponents and plays throughout with his back to the opposition goal.

While he has been able to dissect defences with his passes, his lack of pace and poor reflexes have seen many passes put to waste. This has worked against the club’s bid to wrest the league title from Dynamos.

Sithole is a bustling striker who could benefit from the ingenuity of talented players like Welcome Ndiweni, Joel “Josta” Ngodzo, Rahman Kutsanzira and Mthulisi Maphosa.
