Spunk bling, at Kingston gigs

much-hyped concerts.
It is not just in Harare where the hullabaloo is doing rounds but in other surrounding towns and cities where some music fans are gearing up for Kingston.
Organisers have since heightened the spunk through publicity stunts including a fleet of top-of-the range cars with posters and flyers with details of the concerts.
Kingston is scheduled to perform two shows in Harare one at the Celebration Centre on April 22 and another at the Glamis Stadium on Easter Saturday.
The Celebration Centre gig is meant for only those who are under 18 years although parents accompanying their children will be allowed to attend.
But for those who are 18 years and over, the Glamis concert is just what you have been waiting for.
And those who wish for VIP treatment will get more than what they would have bargained for. As has become the norm, the VIP seats will be directly opposite the stage where the zooming cameras will hover but what’s more exciting is to get eyeball contact with Kingston on stage.
Entrance to the VIP enclosure will be hassle free as there will be tight security with full bar and catering.
Some lucky fans have already won tickets to the concerts and many more tickets will be given out to those who wish to attend the gigs.
Besides Kingston of the “Beautiful Girls (Suicidal)” fame, there is a host of local performers who have already been paid their appearance fees according to Clint Robinson, of C&A Entertainment, the show organisers.
The line-up of Zimbabwean artistes include Winky D, Stunner, Cindy Munyavi, Tehn Diamond, Bkay and Kazz to mention a few.
This is no ordinary concert as it is a mix of budding and established musicians.
But of course the man that most fans would want to know and watch will be Kingston whose debut appearance in Harare is more than welcome.
For those on DStv they must have watched the spectacle of his 18th birthday, which appeared on the US reality television show called My Super Sweet 16.
The show was memorable for Kingston’s elaborate entrance to his party, which involved Sean arriving at his party aboard a private yacht, wearing his own personalised white suit.
There is no doubt that he is going to showcase his swag when he touches down two days before the concerts at the Harare International Airport.
