Mrs Ngwenya was admitted to the United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) after the male  teacher, Nhlonipho Nyathi, allegedly attacked  her during a disciplinary hearing over   his alleged affair with a 16-year-old Form Three pupil.
After allegedly stabbing her 15 times all over the body, Nyathi went on to stab the girl on the left breast and shoulder thereby disrupting an examination.
The girl was also discharged from Inyathi District Hospital last week and is reportedly recovering in Siganda.

Mrs Ngwenya who last week received a  donation from the Zimbabwe Teachers’ Association (Zimta) towards her medical bill, was   discharged on Wednesday after spending two weeks at UBH.
She was reportedly operated on as doctors wanted to drain blood from her ches after she bled internally thereby putting her life in danger.
Chronicle could not visit Mrs Ngwenya at her Cowdray Park house where she is recovering  as she was said to be in need of rest.

In an interview on Wednesday, Mrs Ngwenya’s nephew Mr Clement Zulu said although she had been discharged she was still in pain.
“She was discharged today. She is getting better but she is still in pain. Although she can walk, it is still tough for her but what we have noticed is that she now has an appetite for food,” said Mr Zulu.
Mrs Ngwenya sustained serious injuries on her legs, arms and face.

Nyathi (29), from Jabulani Village in Ntabazinduna, appeared in court last week facing two charges of attempted murder.
He was not formally charged and was remanded in custody to Monday.
The Provincial Education Director for Matabeleland North Mrs Boithatelo Mnguni said they would be guided by the outcome of the case in court to proceed with the alleged offence Nyathi committed at the school.
She said in the event Nyathi is incarcerated for more than 30 days that would mean automatic discharge from his duties.

“I am out of town. I have not heard about the headmistress, but that if she has been discharged that is good news and we are sure she is recovering well,” said Mrs Mnguni.
“The girl is recovering and she went back to school after being assured that the teacher is in remand. Everybody is safe and we are only waiting for the court date.
“If Nyathi is incarcerated for more than 30 days that would be automatic dismissal and if he is given bail then we can process   papers for the initial charge he committed at the school,” she said.-The Chronicle
