TWO StarFM shows – the Breakfast Club and 3 to 6 Express – will be broadcast live from Bulawayo for two weeks as the vibrant station seeks to take radio to the people.Breakfast show – the Breakfast Club, hosted by popular DJ Napster and Nikki Ndoro, will be broadcast from The Chronicle offices in Bulawayo from March 9 to 13 between 6AM and 9AM.

Drive time show – the 3 to 6 Express hosted by KVG and Phathisani “Mkwasha Mboko”, will also be broadcast from March 16 to 20 between 3PM and 6PM.

StarFM public relations and communications manager Beatrice Tonhodzayi-Ngondo urged Bulawayo artistes and businesspeople to take advantage of the live broadcasts to market themselves.

“This is an opportunity for artistes and businesspeople to come forward and let their products known to the nation. Those who want to be featured on the shows should feel free to come to the The Chronicle offices so we sort out the time slots.

“We’d like to interview businesspeople and those in the arts fraternity,” Tonhodzayi-Ngondo said.

She said their trip to Bulawayo came after a realisation that they needed to widen their listenership and include content from all parts of the country.

“There’s an overdose of content from one part of the country. We realised that we needed to broaden our horizons and take the station to the people, hence our decision to broadcast live from Bulawayo.”

This is not the first time that the  station will be broadcasting outside Harare.

Last month on World Radio Day, the fast-growing radio station held a live broadcast of the Breakfast Club live from Gweru.
