Enyimba attacking midfielder, Ikechukwu Ibenegbu has described as a-must-win the Africa’s first tier club clash against South African side, Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Nigerian champions are hosts of the Premier League Soccer (PSL) giants in today’s Caf Champions League matchday 4 group clash at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Omoku, Port Harcourt.

The People’s Elephant lost 1-2 to the South African side and group leaders in the first fixture clash in Pretoria, South Africa.

Ibenegbu said though the outcome of the match is wholly insignificant the Aba outfit want to completely bow out on a high from the Africa’s competition.

“We are more than serious with this last group match against the South African side, Mamelodi Sundowns than the previous matches in the series.

“It will look somehow unpardonable for us to lose all the four matches in the group stage of the competition.

“Even though the outcome of the match will change nothing we are viewing the match as a-must-win.

“We are not under any illusion that the South African side will be cheap, they have proven themselves to be a good and solid side who will want to maintain 100 percent record in the group race.

“However, we have vowed to puncture their winning streak at least for once so they will not enjoy any luxury in Port Harcourt.

“Everybody is buoyed up to win this last test game to finally leave the stage on high,” said the former Heartland and Warri Wolves play-maker to supersport.com.

The seven-time Nigerian champions are at the bottom of the Group B log with no point against the opponents, Mamelodi Sundowns who lead the pack on nine points while the Egyptian giants, Zamalek Sporting Club are second on the log on six points. — supersport.com
