THE Sables will miss the services of Lenience Tambwera in today’s Group A1 Africa Gold Cup against Tunisia due to a hamstring injury.

The Shacks Academy graduate will be the only casualty for coach Cyprian “Super” Mandenge’s side.

Mandenge, however, is confident they have good replacements for the game at Prince Edward School.

Zimbabwe will go into today’s match needing a victory for them to remain in the group which will see one team being demoted.

Tunisia are coming from a defeat at the hands of Uganda while the Sables lost to Kenya.

“I think we are ready, and we are looking forward to a good game against Tunisia. They are a good side who can upset anyone, but we are prepared for them,’’ said Mandenge. ‘’It was unfortunate that most of the guys had a bug in camp, including myself, but they have resumed training except for Tambwera.

“We played to the gallery in our last encounter but we have since rectified that and we are hopeful as we have been working on our mental strength.

“They are targeting us and Senegal for their survival but we won’t read much into the fact that they have not won in their previous three encounters.

“We will not use their previous games as a benchmark.’’

Tunisia captain Kherfani Abbe has promised his troops will give it their best shot. “We are not a bad side and we are looking forward to a win tomorrow (today) we know they are a competitive side but we can’t afford to lose.

“During the first three games we did not have some of our France-based players but now they are here and we hope they will help us.

“We have a good team which is a mixture of some sevens players and a lot of experience and we have to win this and see how it goes when we face Senegal.’’

The main match starts at 5pm.
