AFRO Soul musician Tariro Negitare says she has found God who has made her whole, declaring her upcoming album ‘Beautifully Broken’ would express her new found relationship.

Tariro Negitare (real name Tariro Ruzvidzo) was in the city over the weekend for a show.

She said she made the decision to leave her old life last year, after she launched her second album Chipo Changu.

“I launched my album Chipo Changu on my 30th birthday and it was a beautiful launch, which friends supported. I remember getting home that night, tears of joy started streaking down my cheeks and then I asked myself why I feel empty,” said Tariro Negitare.

“I then asked God if He wanted me to pursue my career He should show me the way. From then on God started working in me and doors started opening and renewing my mind.”

Tariro Negitare, who divorced about four years ago, said ever since she made the decision doors have been opening for her.

“I left a lot of bad situations, bad friends and relationships just things that compromised my happiness. I’ve come to the decision that if it’s something that doesn’t make me happy it shouldn’t be in my life,” said Tariro Negitare.

“It’s going to be an album showing me dying to myself and align myself to what God’s word says. I’ve been beautifully broken to be a better person, a new and mature product and an artiste that is conscious of their surroundings.”

Turning to her personal life Tariro Negitare said she was proud that her daughter loves expressing herself in music.

“It’s fascinating seeing her sing some of my music although I wouldn’t want her to get into the industry but I think she’s headed that direction. She’s very expressive, more expressive than me because she comes from an artistic home and we let her express her artistic being to the fullest. I’m very curious to see how she’ll turn out,” said Tariro Negitare.

The Uripi hit maker will this week make her way to Germany for a tour from July 28 to August 4.
