Tau on set at Generations: The Legacy

Generations: The Legacy actor Rapulana Seiphemo‚ who plays the character – Tau‚ has returned to the set of the popular SABC 1 soapie ahead of his on-screen return next month.

Generations publicist Gaaratwe Mokheti said Rapulana returned to the show’s set on Wednesday for the first time since his accident in February.

Talking about his first day back on the job‚ Gaaratwe said the cast and crew were happy to have the actor back.

“The entire cast and crew were happy to have him back‚” Gaaratwe said.

“It (the accident) was a frightening experience that shook us all and had us very worried. But everyone was happy and relieved to have him back.”

Gaaratwe said the show is planning to ease Tau back slowly ahead of his on-screen return.

“We’re taking it slowly. We don’t want to rush him into it but he’s an absolute professional and got on with his scenes as if he had never left. It was very much business as usual‚” Gaaratwe said. It was earlier reported that despite still healing and being on pain medication‚ the actor wanted to return to work sooner rather than later.

Rapulana spoke out for the first time since the incident on Tuesday thanking fans for their prayers and support.

In an Instagram post yesterday, Rapulana said: “As you all know by now, I went through a traumatic incident a number of months ago.

I’m well on my way to recovery; a recovery that wouldn’t have been possible without the thoughts and prayers of so many of you: my supporters, family and friends.

“I’d like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It was something that could’ve destroyed me, but I’m blessed and grateful to be surrounded by all of you.” – TimesLive
