THE TM Pick n Pay Challenge Cup that will feature the country’s traditional giants Highlanders and Dynamos will be officially launched this morning in the capital.
The final will see the two giants clashing at the National Sports Stadium on Saturday with the winners going home with $60,000 while losers are guaranteed $50,000.

Gate charges have been pegged at $1.
Various dignitaries are expected to grace the occasion as the countdown to the big showdown on Saturday begins.
The two giants will be meeting for the fourth time this season with the previous three meetings all going Dynamos’ way and Bosso will be hard pressed to have the last laugh in 2014, unless the two rivals meet again in the Mbada Diamonds Cup.

DeMbare were knocked out by Black Rhinos in the Chibuku Cup with Bosso booting out Shabanie Mine.
Bosso captain Innocent Mapuranga has already declared his camp’s intention of bringing the silverware to Bulawayo. For Mapuranga, the match provides an opportunity to have the better of Dynamos as Bosso captain. The ageing Mapuranga has never beaten Dynamos as Highlanders captain.

“We are grateful to the sponsors for affording us an opportunity to play Dynamos and probably make up for previous losses. As much as it is about the prize money, pride and lost glory are what we will be playing for,” said Mapuranga.

The match will also act as the Grand Draw event for the TM Pick n Pay Big Brands Bargain Bonanza Promotion, a retail promotion that has been running at all TM Pick n Pay stores nationwide and which started on July 17 and will end on Thursday.

As part of the promotional activities, Highlanders players on Friday met fans at TM Hyper in the City before they were treated to lunch at the giant retail outlet.
