TSHOLOTSHO High School won three gold medals at the recently held national High Schools choral competition at Gokomere High School in Masvingo.
A total of 20 schools from the country’s 10 provinces participated at this year’s competition.
The participating choirs were supposed to sing a song of their own choice and the set piece.

Tsholotsho High School from Matabeleland North province scooped the first price for both their own song and the set piece. They won a trophy, three gold medals and $1 300 prize money.

The school also won $150 for being the best dressed choir. Coming in second and third position, in the own choice category were Mtshabezi High School from Matabeleland South province and Guinea Fowl High School from the Midlands province respectively.

In the set piece category, Nyahuni from Mashonaland East and Mtshabezi Heigh schools were second and third and walked away with prize money of $450 and $400 respectively.

Mtshabezi High School’s Thobeka Msipa won the best choir conductor prize.
The competition is organised by the National Association of Secondary School Heads.
