ZIFA Southern Region Division One Soccer League Championship favourites Bulawayo Chiefs suffered their second defeat of the season going down 0-1 to Tsholotsho Pirates away on Saturday. The loss, was the second in the campaign in 13 games. Bulawayo Chiefs’ Fortune Ncube scored the own goal in the 55th minute to hand Tsholotsho Pirates three points.
Tsholotsho Pirates coach Lizwe Sweswe said although it was tough match they were up for the challenge against the log leaders.
“It was a tough game but we were well prepared. Our game plan worked as we emerged  the better team of the day,” Sweswe said.

He singled out Butholezwe Ncube as having been outstanding for Tsholotsho.
“Winning against a team such as Chiefs keeps the morale in camp high and it shows that we are still in contention for the championship,” said Sweswe.

Rahman Gumbo has to dust himself off and aim at bouncing back after the Tsholotsho result.
In other matches Bantu Rovers beat Ajax Hotspurs 1-0 to move to position  six with 22 points like Technosphere and Tsholotsholo Pirates.
Technosphere drew with Bulawayo Jumbos 1-1 while New West City beat Rufaro Rovers 2-1.

Zimbabwe Saints beat Mkhosana 2-1 while ‘Young Chipangano’ Hwange Juniors and Black Boots played to a one all draw.
