YOUNG WARRIORS WINSwaziland 0-2 Young Warriors
A TWO-MINUTE blitz in the second half by Nqobizitha Masuku and Wisdom Mutasa saw a gallant Zimbabwe Under-23 side cruising to victory over the Swaziland senior national team in an international football friendly at Somhlolo Stadium last night.
According to Noel Munzabwa, our correspondent in Swaziland, Masuku of Bantu Rovers and FC Platinum’s Mutasa scored in the 57th and 59th minutes respectively in the match played in the mountainous kingdom.

The Young Warriors were under the guidance of Saul Chaminuka and Nation Dube after head coach Callisto Pasuwa chose club over country. His club, Dynamos, are leading the table with five games before the season comes to an end.

Highlanders’ Gabriel Nyoni suffered a hamstring injury just before kick off.

The Young Warriors were using the match as part of their preparations ahead of the start of the African Championships which will be held in the Democratic Republic of Congo in December next year but qualifiers begin in February 2015 with Zimbabwe drawn to play the Swaziland Under-23 team.
