THE Vault Cosmetics Bulawayo launch was a success with scores of women attending the launch party at Horizon Night Club on Saturday night which attracted the who’s who of the city’s fashion industry.

The presence of Big Brother Africa The Chase winner Dillish Matthews added to the already glamorous and colourful event as she took time to pose for pictures with fans at the launch.

Dillish is brand ambassador of the lipstick range.

Socialites Gilmore T, Mbo Mahocs, designers Annie G, Saneliso Mpofu and artistes Qeqeshiwe Mntambo and Mzoe 7 were also at the show.

Performances by Tehn Diamond and Cal_Vin were energetic and thrilling at the same time during the night.

The launch started at 7.30PM with makeup artistes busy serving women who had come for a free make over in the VIP area of the nightspot.

As they were getting their makeover they were given free glasses of champagne courtesy of Afdis through their JC le Roux brand.

On stage Luveve born hip hop artiste Cal_Vin gave a polished performance and got people dancing to his tracks such as Grind China, Bebengakholwa and Zikhuphani the song that he recently shot a music video for.

Even the owner of Vault Cosmetics Hollywood-based Zimbabwean make-up artiste, Jackie Mgido got on stage in support.

Next up was Tehn Diamond and the Happy singer did not falter on stage with his popular tracks Happy, Phiwayi Madrinks and Simudza Gumbo with his business partner and friend Take 5 (real name Tatenda Jenami).

Tribal house group Djembe Monks closed the launch with their set that was well coordinated and kept the dance floor packed.

After the show Mgido said she was exhausted because of the hectic day she had as she was on her feet from the time they launched their product in the afternoon at Truworths Women Store.

“I’ve had no time to sit down. I’ve been busy running around up and down. This shows that there’s a genuine demand for the products and this has allayed my fears that people don’t know the product so they won’t be interested,” she said.

Mgido thanked everyone who was involved with the launch and show describing the turn out as amazing.

“Everyone was great on the day. The level of support I got from people is so amazing I would like to thank them for doing so,” she said.

Meanwhile, in the afternoon, scores of women flocked Truworths Women to get a free make over by Vault Cosmetics and also mix and mingle with local celebrities and Dillish Mathews.

The shop was a hive of activity as women who came to the launch of the cosmetic range wanted a makeover.

Most of the ladies who spoke to Chronicle Showbiz said they were happy with the range as it catered for different skin tones and the lipsticks were in their favourite shades and above all affordable.
