A GWERU Regional Magistrate has issued a warrant of arrest for a 15 year old boy who allegedly raped two girls, impregnating one of them.

The boy from Mapolisa village in Mberengwa, who is facing two counts of rape, did not turn up in court, leaving Regional Magistrate Morgan Nemadire with no option, but to issue a warrant of arrest.

After issuing the warrant against the suspect who cannot be named as he is a minor, Nemadire said all witnesses will be notified when he is arrested and the matter will proceed by way of summons.

Prosecuting, Andrew Marimo told the court that sometime in June last year, the 15 year old, who was a herdsman, came from the garden at around 12PM, and found his boss’s four year old daughter playing with her 17 year old aunt who is mentally challenged.

“Upon arrival, the boy grabbed the aunt’s hand and went with her in his bedroom together with the four year old. Whilst the aunt was watching, the boy undressed the 4 year old and pushed her on the bed before he had sexual intercourse with her once,” said Marimo.

The court heard that after he was done raping the girl, he ordered the 17 year old to undress and sleep on the bed.

Marimo said that the boy then had sexual intercourse with her while the four year old was watching.

He said that after raping the two girls, he threatened to kill them if they told anyone.

The matter came into light when the four year old told her mother in July last year what had happened and the matter was reported to the police leading to the boy’s arrest.

The court heard that a medical examination confirmed that the 17 year old rape victim was pregnant.
