Wedding bells for Kelly Khumalo Kelly Khumalo

WEDDING bells are ringing for Afro-pop singer Kelly Khumalo!
The Asine hitmaker has finally hit the jackpot – the fourth time around. This after the family of a herbalist from Durban, Zamokwakhe “Bhaka” Nzima, paid half of his lobola for her.

Bhaka sent a delegation of elders to pay lobola for Kelly two weeks ago.

Kelly has been unlucky in love as her famous relationship with Bafana Bafana captain, Senzo Meyiwa, ended when he was murdered last year.

Her love affair with hip hop star Jub Jub ended when he was sent to jail for murder.

Her affair with Prosper Mkwaiwa ended prematurely as well.

And now Kelly’s fourth famous date has gone a step further than the others by paying lobola.

Bhaka sent a delegation to Kelly’s family in KZN where he paid the first installment of his lobola.

A source close to Kelly told Sunday Sun the ceremony was a beautiful family affair.

“Kelly looked beaming in her traditional regalia,” said the source.

The second part of the lobola will be paid in March.

“The two families get along and love each other. I don’t know where all these negative reports that they hate each other are coming from,” said the source.

Bhaka’s dad, Nzama, confirmed that he has nothing against Kelly.

“Whatever Bhaka does, we support him. He’s a respectful child, he supports me financially, I’ve nothing against MaKhumalo (Kelly),” says Nzama.

According to the source the two met early this year when Kelly was called by one of Zamo’s business associates who wanted to meet Kelly about a cultural music tour.

“Kelly isn’t ashamed of her heritage, so when they started seeing each other, none of us were surprised,” said the source.

The source said Bhaka proposed to Kelly in the traditional way by telling her he’s in love and wants to send people to her home.

When called for comment Kelly confirmed that people were sent to her home, but refused to talk about it further.

“Can I be left alone? This matter is private and I would like it to remain that way,” said Kelly. – Daily Sun.
