“GET out of my courtroom and fight if you want to fight. I will give you room to fight outside not in my court room,” blasted a Bulawayo magistrate after two women nearly exchanged blows over a man in court.
Nomagugu Sibanda, 28, charged with assault after a knife attack on her husband’s alleged mistress Precious Moyo, 23, appeared before Western commonage magistrate Tancy Dube yesterday.

She was remanded in custody to October 27.

Prosecutor Kenneth Shava told the court that on August 15 at around 11AM, Sibanda proceeded to Moyo’s house and accused her of having an affair with her husband. A misunderstanding arose and Sibanda assaulted Moyo with fists all over the body before stabbing her on her right hand.

Moyo was referred to hospital and a medical report was produced in court as evidence.

The alleged small house told the court that Sibanda wanted to stab her on the stomach but she repelled her.

“This woman grabbed a knife intending to stab me on the stomach but I managed to hold the knife before it got to my stomach. That is how my hand got stabbed,” said Moyo.

Sibanda pleaded not guilty and claimed that Moyo assaulted her husband.

“This girl has been having an affair with my husband but I did not assault her instead she is the one who assaulted my husband. She is lying, I never laid a hand on her Your Worship,” she said.
