THE Zifa Mat North Division 2B League roars into life today in Binga with lots of excitement expected in this league which is now in its second year.

Some logistical issues saw the league fail to kick off when the 2A league commenced last month but yesterday the provincial chairman Dennis Tshuma confirmed that all is now in place for action.

“The Binga 2B league finally kicks off tomorrow (today) after some delays due to some logistical issues. Nine teams will take part this year and we hope there will be lots of fun and excitement,”said Tshuma.

The provincial football boss said it was unfortunate that last year’s champions Lunda FC,  who had got the ticket to play in the Zifa Southern Region Division One, have folded up .

“It is regrettable that Lunda FC are no longer part of the league having brought hope to Binga as they have since folded up. We hope one of the teams will step in and fill their shoes in this area with so much talent.

“On an interesting note, Bosso coach Madinda Ndlovu is tapping most of his young and promising talent from Binga hence as administrators  we will continue to support their gallant efforts to develop soccer in the region,” said Tshuma.

Binga Stars start the ball rolling with a date against Young Talents, Kamativi lock horns with Siavwandu, Chileya United welcome Lubanda with the Saba Stars and Sowa match completing the opening week action.  Mangani FC are starting with a bye.
