ZIMBABWEAN boxer Chamunorwa Sting Gonorenda is in buoyant mood ahead of his WBF All Africa Cruiserweight title fight against Congolese opponent Tshanda Tshams on Friday at Wynberg Military Base, Cape Town, South Africa.

He says he has no match on the continent.

Gonorenda will defend the title he won in Harare with an impressive knockout in less than two minutes in August.

He overpowered Tanzanian fighter Kaminja Ramadhan in August.

Gonorenda has been in impressive form of late, winning three fights in his last four bouts, and is confident to continue with his good touch.

“I have been winning with knockouts, my last fight in Harare I won the fight in 1 minute 20 seconds, this is my first title defence and I want to do well.

“These guys are not in my league as I believe I am a world class boxer. It is only that I need a chance to fight a world champion and I will get the belt.

”He has a good record but I do not care as I can fight anyone in the world and I believe I am the best in the world.

”He is not going to stop my ambitions in getting what I want and I am just going to defeat all those who stand along my way and get the world title.

“My coach and my promoter have been very supportive and they have helped me to prepare for this fight. I am ready for the fight and I can promise you I will not let them down.

”I will also make my fellow Zimbabweans proud,” said Gonorenda. He first made a big impression after defeating Arigoma Chiponda to win the then vacant cruiserweight title in Kariba.
