According to Tendayi Gwatiringa, Zambezi Tour marketing and communications director, over 10 South African professionals will also be taking part in the two day event, set as a precursor to the elite Zimbabwe Open that tees off next Thursday on the same venue.

“Entries have closed and we have a good field with local based players as  well as the likes of Ryan Cairns, Mark Williams, Greg Bentley and Sheldon Steyn who’ve been playing on the Sunshine Tour. In addition, we’ve received entries from over 10 South Africans,” said Gwatiringa.

He said the quality of the field is testimony that the two-day event is a perfect practising opportunity in preparation for the 2015 Zimbabwe Open.

“The Zimbabwe Open itself will be preceded by the pre-qualifier to be held next Monday. Our Zimbabwean, South African based players Greg Bentley and Mick Hough have also entered the event,” said the Zambezi tour communications director.
