ZIMBABWEANS have applauded the country’s Big Brother Africa The Chase representative, Pokello Nare’s father, for his stance in supporting his daughter in the reality television show. The Harare-based beauty shot to infamy in 2011 after a sex tape between her and her musician boyfriend Desmond Chidemhe a.k.a Stunner leaked.
Pokello’s father, Retired Colonel George Nare said he was unfazed by this “dark” period in his daughter’s life and people have said “kudos” to him for being caring.

“I want Pokello to win that $300 000 prize, I vote for her everyday and appeal to fellow Zimbabweans from all walks of life to rally behind her,” he said in an earlier interview with this publication.

Yesterday, scores of people turned to the social networks applauding Retired Colonel Nare for his fatherly love. Some were even happy that there was a Sotho contestant in the BBA house.

“She is a Sotho girl I’m behind you 100 percent,” said Malikotsi Ketsia Ntsala.
Another follower of the reality show Bongi Sibanda said since Pokello was from Gwanda she has started voting for her.

Patience Musamhi wrote on ZimCelebs Gossip page saying Pokello was an adult, what she does in private was not people’s business.
“The person who leaked the tape ndiye benzi saka akawanei pazviri. (the person is the fool, so what did he gain after all?). “I applaud you Mr Nare this is the time your daughter needs you most, pane paungarambe mwana wako here?

Ethel Dulana said Rtd Colonel Nare was a good father for standing up for Pokello and also drumming up support for his daughter.
“You are a good father seriously hapana anoramba mwana wake tine zvatakaita in life but our parents still love and support us”, Dulana said in a post on facebook.
