ZimTrade leads firms to Zambia expo

ZimTrade, the country’s national trade and promotion organisation is leading the participation of ten Zimbabwean Companies in the Agritech Expo, a three day event, which begins today until Saturday in Chisamba, Zambia.

The Expo, which is a specialised exhibition for the agricultural sector value chain affords participants to showcase farm equipment, agricultural inputs, poultry and fish farming, agro-processing, among others.

According to the Expo Organisers, the Event is focused on bringing together end users and farming professionals to meet directly with vendor companies. It is a business-to-business platform for agricultural professionals, small scale farmers and commercial enterprises.

This year’s Expo will incorporate more interactive feature areas, a technical workshop for farmers and equipment demonstration.

The new interactive features include, crop trials, combine harvester arable farming trials as well as irrigation demonstrations.

International players from Germany, United Arab Emirates, United States of America and the United Kingdom, will be participating at the Show.

Over 15,000 farming professionals, from emerging, to small holder to commercial farmers are expected to attend this year’s show. Last year, over 12,000 agricultural business decision makers and over 110 exhibitors from 29 countries in Africa, America, Europe and Middle East participated at the Expo.

These are some of the efforts which ZimTrade is undertaking to contribute towards the growth of Zimbabwe’s Exports.
