CELEBRATED Zimbabwean icon Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi will be coming to Bulawayo next month for a Golden Oldies Dinner Dance.

The black tie event where entrance has been pegged at $100 is being organised by the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) company and is aimed at raising funds to revamp Hall 2. As such, the event taking place on December 1 will be held at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre Hall 2.

The event will be one not to miss as Tuku last performed in the city last year.

Said ZITF marketing and public relations manager Stella Nkomo: “We’re excited about our latest market offering, the Golden Oldies Dinner Dance. The first-of-its-kind event is not your typical entertainment gala dinner in that the aim is to kill many birds with a single stone.

“The Golden Oldies Dinner Dance presents a prime opportunity for Bulawayo corporates to appreciate their high value customers, trusted suppliers and distributors as well as loyal employees by wining and dining with them during an elegant evening filled with engaging conversations, laughter and showcases performed by celebrated artistes from yesteryear,” said Nkomo.

She said preparations for the dinner dance were going on very well.

“Preparations for the event are coming along very well. We’re pleased with the response from the market. I want to encourage all those who haven’t yet secured their seat or corporate tables to give us a call and make their booking to enable us to deliver their tickets to their doorstep. We promise an exciting night to remember.”

For corporates to have a night out with Tuku, they will have to part with $1 000 for a table of 10 while individual seats are being sold at $100 each.

Nkomo said the event was meant to provide entertainment for the mature, professional, and accomplished crowd.

Different activities lined up include a raffle, auctions, product tasting and give-aways, dance competitions and prizes for best dressed among others.

Bulawayo companies have been advised to include the event in their plans and budgets for 2018 as the ZITF company is planning to make it an annual event.
