CASTLE Lager Premier Soccer League Coach of the Year Saul Chaminuka and goalkeepers’ coach Tembo Chuma have reportedly dumped ZPC Kariba and are on the verge of joining Triangle United.

In what could turn out to be a mass exodus, team manager Partson Ndabambi is likely to leave the electricity generators with news doing rounds in Bulawayo that he could be one of the assistant coaches at Highlanders.

Ndabambi has reportedly agreed terms with incoming coach Bongani Mafu but was yet to meet the executive.

“Chaminuka has already made up his mind, he’s moving to Triangle and is likely to go with his goalkeepers’ trainer Chuma,” said a source close to the developments.

Chuma is the most sought after goalkeepers’ coach after producing goalkeepers of the year in three successive years with two different teams.

In his first year at Highlanders, Ariel Sibanda was voted as one of the 11 Soccer Stars of the Year and the following year Munyaradzi Diya graced the calendar. This year, Tendai Hove was not only voted as one of the best 11 players but was actually first runner up to the Soccer Star, Dennis Dauda.

Chaminuka could not be reached for a comment yesterday as he is attending a Confederation of African Football (Caf) Football A coaching badge.

Triangle chairman Lovemore Matikinyidze was not entertaining any questions as he said he was in church.

Chaminuka led ZPC Kariba to a second place finish on the table behind Dynamos and were in fact 90 minutes away from lifting the league title but unfortunately lost 3-2 to Caps United.

Their star player Dauda has already made his intention of leaving known, so did second runner up Limited Chikafa.
