This Saturday, Casino Marina at Longcheng Plaza in Harare will witness the grand finale of Misters of Zimbabwe, where 14 contestants from across the country will compete for the prestigious title.

Mtshayisa Zibusiso Mzolisi, one of organisers of the pageant said they received an overwhelming response from models.

“From the start of this year’s journey, we received an overwhelming number of entries, which we narrowed down to 65 semi-finalists. This is a significant milestone for male modelling in Zimbabwe, considering it’s not yet as popular.

“Seeing young men step up and showcase their talent has been truly inspiring,” said Mzolisi, who is responsible for the Bulawayo pageant.

Pageant director, Nyasha Shepherd Chinyuku said this edition is particularly special as it highlights the diversity and talent of Zimbabwean men.
“This year’s edition is unique not only because we are hosting it in the capital city but also because it embodies the beauty of our diversity. Fourteen men from different parts of Zimbabwe will come together to compete for the coveted title,” Chinyuku said.

The event promises an electrifying experience with contestants competing in dance, swimwear, physique, elegance and a Q&A segment.

“From the dance and swimwear rounds to the physique competition, elegance segment, and Q&A, this is something many haven’t seen before. Saturday is the day to witness it all unfold!” added Chinyuku.

The judges will be looking for a contestant who is not only visually appealing but also intelligent, inspiring and a representation of health, vitality and agility.

“We are searching for someone who embodies the ideal Zimbabwean man – both as a role model and as an inspirational leader through his work and lifestyle,” Chinyuku explained.

The stakes are high, as the winner of Misters of Zimbabwe will represent the country on international platforms. Over the next year, he will take on national duties, including charity work, fashion shows, ambassadorial roles and travelling around Zimbabwe.

Adding to the excitement, the night will feature electrifying performances by Prince D’ Capla and Vicky the Violinist.
Last year, Hillary Mandaba was crowned king.
