ABUNDANT Life Ministries is set to hold its Easter church conference at the Bulawayo Large City Hall where the headline preacher will be its founder and pastor, Prophet Itai Ukama.

Prophet Ukama said the conference, which will be punctuated with praise and worship, prayers, preaching, healing and prophesy, will start on Friday, 15 April and end on Sunday, 17 April.

“We want to invite as many people as possible. All people from all walks of life are invited. We will be at the Large City Hall for an extraordinary time with God.

“Services will be starting at 10am and ending at 4pm. Sunday will see us conclude the conference and we will finish the service at 2pm.

“The strength of the church is centred around the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter is the time that we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He died for us, he substituted himself for us,” Prophet Ukama said.

He said Easter is an important holiday as it is a time to celebrate redemption.

“There is controversy around Easter. Some say it is a pagan holiday and it celebrates a pagan god, but for us, it is a time to celebrate our redemption. It is the most important holiday, more than Christmas,” he said.

South Africa-based Pastor Vignery Shoko will be the guest preacher at the conference.

“We’ll have Pastor Shoko from South Africa and other local preachers. It will be a memorable conference. This is a  not to be missed service as Easter is an extremely important time for Christians. It is what defines the church.

“We look forward to having many people attending the services.”
