Aphiwe to represent Matabeleland South at schools music competition Aphiwe

MASKANDI music sensation Aphiwe, known for his collaborative effort with his uncle Sobancane, is set to represent Matabeleland South province at the National Science, Sports and Arts Festival (Nassaf).

Hailing from the thickets of Mangwe district, Aphiwe showcased his musical prowess by emerging as the top performer among students from across the province. He earned his ticket to represent Matabeleland South at the Nassaf finals in Mutare, Manicaland province, next month through his outstanding performances of hit tracks Inhliziyo Yami and Ukufa.

Expressing his excitement, Aphiwe said, “I’m elated to be a shining light to my peers and hope to make the province proud by winning the top prize.” He elaborated on his journey, saying, “I participated in the Cluster Annual Science, Sports and Arts Festival, where I won, then proceeded to the District Annual Science, Sports and Arts Festival before winning again and participating at the Provincial Annual Science, Sports and Arts Festival (Passaf) at Mzingwane High School.”

He said he is ready to showcase his talent among other diverse talents that will be exhibited.“My wish is to win the competition nationally, to inspire and encourage other young artistes like myself that it is possible to dream and achieve and to make my parents proud,” said Aphiwe.
