KING of sungura music Alick Macheso aka Baba Sharo will today reunite with fans in Bulawayo as he will be in the city to launch his latest album, Tinosvitswa Nashe that was officially launched last month.

The album was officially launched in Chitungwiza three weeks ago at an event that was oversubscribed following an executive night launch in Harare the previous day.

With the arts sector now fully operational after an over two-year hiatus, Macheso has grabbed the opportunity to tour with both hands in a bid to reconnect with his fans nationwide.

Last night, Macheso was expected to perform in Gweru before the Bulawayo show that is taking place at Eyardin Park.

In Bulawayo, he will be supported by the city’s finest wheel spinners; DJ Mzoe, DJ Nospa, DJ Sweeto, DJ Crazy Dee and DJ Zetfactor.

Baba Sharo’s fans are set to hear live performances of the six tracks on the new album, namely Makazvinzwepi, Kutadzirana, Nzendo Dzirefu, Impfa Nimulandi, Munhu Mumwe and Ndimi Vanhu Vacho.

The artiste’s publicity and digital media overseer Tawanda Mashava said all was in place for the show.

“As promised before the release of the album that we’ll embark on a nationwide album launch tour, we’re glad to say that we’ll be in Bulawayo on Saturday. People should expect fireworks and a fun-filled tour throughout the country.

“I want to urge people to come out in their numbers to celebrate Macheso’s 54th birthday and give him his flowers while he is still alive,” said Mashava.
