Babes Wodumo’s debut album is finally out. And while fans were excited for the release of this hotly-anticipated album on iTunes and Spotify, there’s one little thing that left them concerned – Mampintsha’s unavoidable presence on the album.

According to the tracklist of the album, titled Gqom Queen Vol. 1, Mampintsha is featured on 14 of the 15 songs in her debut offering.

And Twitter users are just not having it.

Fans started questioning whether Babes Wodumo was actually a duo consisting of the Wololo hitmaker and Mampintsha.

Meanwhile, Trompies member Spikiri has slammed radio stations for not playing kwaito music‚ adding that he believes that the contribution kwaito veterans have made to the industry is not being recognised.

Speaking to DRUM‚ the kwaito legend claimed that his music has been overlooked by a number of radio stations.

“Radio does not play our music‚” he told the local publication.

“New school artistes do not respect the contribution we have given in South African music industry because of this.”

Spikiri further revealed that while he is happy with the 90 percent local music quota introduced to radio stations by SABC in May‚ he is still not satisfied with the efforts done in getting their music playlisted.

“It’s like we have to go straight to Hlaudi to have our music played. Some of us are breadwinners and that is why Mzansi musicians die paupers.

People want to show gratitude after you are dead. Play our music‚ respect us”.

Spikiri is not the only artiste to wage war against radio stations for not playing music. Cassper Nyovest has‚ on several occasions‚ revealed that his music was not getting any airplay.

The rapper told fans earlier this month that he was doing his all to get playlisted on radio- but with no success.

The Mama I Made It rapper recently released a new single‚ but after radio apparently again‚ ignored his work‚ he took to Twitter to beg fans to help him get the song airplay.
