Mzansi Magic Ring of Lies star Baby Cele tied the knot last weekend in an intimate affair.

The talented actress married her partner of a few years, known only as Mr Maloka. The lovebirds wore matching blue and white outfits at the reception held in Ruimsig in the west of Johannesburg.

Cele confirmed that her husband, who is originally from the Vaal, is not in the entertainment industry.

She said the Saturday nuptials were planned to be small, celebrating their union after signing officially.

“It was meant to be a small thing with both families but it turned into a big event.”

Guests who witnessed the ceremony included TV actresses Thembi Mtshali, Dineo Nchabeleng and Slindile Nodangala. The couple met years ago through Mtshali’s sister and after dating for a few years they broke up.

“We went back to each other’s arms again two years ago and this time it was stronger than before.”

Cele could not wait to share pictures of their wedding with her fans with the caption: “Love may be blind, but marriage is a real eye-opener.”

She told Sowetan: “I’m excited . . . getting married is a lovely and strange feeling. I’m enjoying every minute of being Mrs Maloka and he’s just a lovely person.”

Cele walked down the aisle for the second time after having married Mandla Mabuza in 2009. They separated a few years later but have a child together. – Sowetan
